This hat becomes the occasion.
Finely woven in shimmering silver-grey straw, it is finished with a powder-blue satin ribbon and generous bow.

Created by E. Werlé, the Parisian millinery house founded in 1903, this wide-brim hat embodies the elegance of French occasion dressing.

Its dramatic 20 cm brim beautifully frames the face, making it a wonderful choice for weddings, garden parties and race meetings — or worn today simply because a remarkable hat deserves to be seen.

Beautifully made and carefully preserved, it remains as elegant today as when it first left the Parisian atelier more than a half century ago.

Condition

Very good vintage condition.

The hat presents beautifully with its original satin ribbon and bow. Close inspection reveals a few small surface fibres and minor signs of age within the woven braid, consistent with careful vintage use. These are discreet, do not affect the structure or wearability, and have been reflected in the photographs.
