1970s Nina Ricci Boutique Paris Orange Pleated Skirt – France

175,00 €

An extraordinary 1970s Nina Ricci skirt in blazing orange, where exquisite pleating, graphic print and movement create pure Parisian drama.

In stock

Created by Nina Ricci Boutique Paris under Gérard Pipart’s tenure, this remarkable early 1970s skirt is an explosion of colour, movement and exceptional workmanship. Its vivid orange ground is swept with irregular black strokes, while meticulously controlled pleating gives the fabric wonderful depth and fluidity.

Light, fluid and wonderfully expressive, the fabric has the elegant drape and dry handle associated with silk crêpe, although no composition label remains and its exact fibre content cannot be confirmed.

Wear her simply. A fitted black top, elegant heels and little else are all she needs.

This is Nina Ricci at her most joyful: sophisticated, daring and made to move.

Condition

Very good vintage condition.
Beautifully preserved, with the vivid colour, fluidity and finely controlled pleating remaining particularly impressive. The waistband, piping and construction present very well, with only gentle signs of age and wear consistent with a piece of this period. No composition label remains. Please refer to the photographs for the most accurate representation of its condition.
