Made in France, this Guy Laroche Boutique two-piece pairs a sculpted halterneck dress with its matching jacket. Pleating defines the waist and creates the beautifully architectural hip line, while the oversized polka-dot bow adds unmistakable Laroche wit.

Part of the designer’s Paris ready-to-wear world, the Boutique line produced some wonderfully expressive fashion during the 1980s. Feminine, playful and designed to be noticed — not Eighties-inspired, but the real thing.

Smooth, lustrous cotton with a beautiful silk-like sheen and a softly structured drape.

Styling

Wear the complete ensemble with black pointed pumps and a structured bag for full Parisian drama. For a contemporary contrast, wear the dress alone with a cropped black jacket, clean white trainers and a black bag. For summer occasions, try cream or ivory pumps and keep the jewellery minimal — the bow deserves centre stage.

Condition

Very good vintage condition. Beautifully preserved with vivid colour, crisp structure and its original statement bow. Minor signs of age or wear may be present, consistent with a carefully kept vintage garment. A couple of tiny, faint stains visible only upon close inspection.
